Zoom integration

Nook is an online scheduling platform by Elevait. With the Zoom integration, every meeting booked through your Nook booking page automatically gets its own Zoom meeting. The link is placed in the calendar invitation and in the confirmation email to your visitor.

Prerequisites

  • A Nook account.
  • A Zoom account (Basic, Pro or higher). You sign in with the Zoom account whose meetings you want to host.

Adding the app

  1. Log in to Nook at nook.elevaitservices.com and open Calendar in the menu.
  2. Under Zoom, click Zoom koppelen (Connect Zoom).
  3. You are sent to Zoom. Sign in and click Allow to give Nook permission to create meetings on your behalf.
  4. You return to Nook. The Zoom card now shows the connected Zoom account.
  5. Open an event under Events, choose Online and set Online via to Zoom. Save (Opslaan).

Using the app

  • When a visitor books the event, Nook creates a Zoom meeting at the booked time and puts the join link in your calendar and in the visitor's confirmation.
  • When the meeting is rescheduled, Nook moves the Zoom meeting to the new time. When it is cancelled, Nook deletes the Zoom meeting.
  • Nook only uses these permissions: create, update and delete meetings, and read your basic profile (name and email address) to show which account is connected. Nook does not read recordings, chats or meeting content.
  • If Zoom is unreachable, Nook falls back to Google Meet or Microsoft Teams so the visitor always gets a working link, and emails you once.

Removing the app

  1. In Nook, open Calendar and click Ontkoppelen (Disconnect) on the Zoom card. Nook revokes its access at Zoom and deletes the stored tokens immediately.
  2. Or remove the app in Zoom: sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace, go to Manage > Added Apps, find Nook and click Remove.

After removal, Nook deletes the connection and the access tokens for your Zoom account right away. Events that used Zoom switch to Google Meet. Zoom meetings that were already created stay in your Zoom account; you can delete them there. Nook keeps no other Zoom data.
